GPSMAP 232

For those mariners looking for large numbers and big maps, the GPSMAP 232 is packaged in a form factor similar to the popular GPSMAP 230/235. This new chartplotter installs easily in open cockpit and overhead boxes. A unique design feature of this new product line is quick map redraws using a high speed RISC processor.

Detailed marine cartography is presented on a high resolution (240 x 360 pixels), 10-level grayscale, liquid crystal display.

With a built-in worldwide basemap, the GPSMAP 232 will be fully compatible with GARMIN's new BlueChart™ marine cartography and many MapSource™ CD-ROM products. It is designed to provide precise GPS positioning using correction data obtained from the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS). GPSMAP 232 will provide position accuracy to less than three meters when receiving WAAS corrections. Both products also accept RTCM-104 differential corrections.
