For our Mobile Electronics customers, GARMIN offers MetroGuide cartography:the electronic equivalent to paper maps. MetroGuide cartridges provide greater detail and utility to StreetPilot GPS owners. The StreetPilot's built-in basemap is capable of zooming to a 20-mile scale and displays political boundaries, cities, airports, major interstates and highways, rivers, lakes and major streams, plus oceans and coastal areas. When you insert a MetroGuide cartridge, you plug into a wealth of additional information. You'll see details like the locations of restaurants, banks, gas stations, and tourist attractions, plus much more. And you'll be able to drive to any city address contained in our huge database using an electronic map that shows street-level detail. (The MapSource MetroGuide CD-ROM will ship in late August.)
