The map download features of this product will work only with the GARMIN GPSMAP 162 and GPSMAP 168 Sounder. MapSource Fishing Hot Spots provides detailed fishing information such as detailed shoreline, depth contours, navigational aids, and recreational aids like mile markers, boat ramps, and marinas. Also provided is extended fishing information such as lake profiles, which list size, depth, and watersource. Anglers will even find helpful hints on the best type of lures to use when catching a particular kind of fish or the best time of year to fish certain areas. This map detail and data may be viewed on both the personal computer and with data downloaded to select GARMIN GPS products, however, extended fishing information is only available once downloaded to the GPS.

MapSource Fishing Hot Spots provides coverage for select lakes throughout the United States. Select lakes are contained within predetermined regions, and a region must be unlocked prior to use. With the purchase of MapSource Fishing Hot Spots, customers will have access to one region area of their choice. The region must be unlocked, which can be done through GARMIN via our unlock pages or by phone. For a complete listing of lakes and coverage areas, please click on the attached map for details. We also recommend you utilize the GARMIN map viewer to see the coverage and details of each lake prior to purchase.

V4.00 adds 200 New Lakes. This product update also includes a new database with coverage providing general road and lake detail throughout the United States.
